Disabled access is ok. Parking is available, but you'll have to fight your way through a lot of traffic. It's located in a small, but extremely busy and popular, shopping center, Shop 68, near Commonwealth Bank, but has an outside entrance, about a 12 minute drive south of the city (without traffic). I frequently dine here & out of all the places around Sunnybank I've been to this has to be my favourite, the Combination Fried Noodle (#61 on the menu) is always outstanding (I order without the fish cake as the flavour is too strong for me but I'm sure there's plenty who love it). Both the Chicken & the Pork Clay Pots are usually pretty good, Kung Pow is good, the Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab is a little on the expensive side. I visit the Sunnybank Oriental regularly as much twice a week! I have been going there for the last 5 years and was first introduced to the Breakfast menu. I usually pick "G" which is the Congee with Beef Brisket + Rice rolls + hot beverage....it is mouth watering, flavoursome and only $8.90!Great value for money and only a few steps from the main sunnybank plaza!Breakfast is usually "Cash Only" and open Tuesdays to Sunday from 8am.If you're going for lunch, try the beef brisket in claypot, its a winner and only $12.90!! Hands down the best secret of China Town, Sunnbank!! Food is traditional, authentic and absolutely delicious. Prices are insanely affordable and service is fast and professional! All food is fresh, perfectly cooked and fragrant. There is a reason why is it tucked away and quite frankly, it is still buzzing because nothing advertises better than through word of mouth. After you have dined here at Sunnybank Oriental, you would want to tell all of your friends too! Also, do not be affraid to try something new and different, it all tastes great!
I used to really like the breakfast here.Last 3 experiences here were not great and I didn't finish the meals.- First time I had congee and it tasted burnt. - Second time I had congee again (to give it another chance) and BBQ pork wrapped in rice flour (cheong fun). Once again the congee was a disappointment and the cheong fun was thick and sticky. - I went there again recently to have rice. Had a few bites, finished my drink and just left. It was just not up to standard and I am very disappointed.
I couldn't wait to write this review, such was our experience. I've been a few times previously, but tonight was a real standout. The food has always been consistently delicious, but tonight we were served by the restaurant owner (Liam?) and it really made our night. I travel almost weekly for work, and I don't recall the last time I encountered such genuine and friendly service. I'd already returned for the food (the pork ribs and ho fan are amazing) but I'll definitely be back for the service!!
Great variety on the menu and the food is good and definitely great value too. The decor is a bit ordinary but its not really a fine dining joint so can't complain. The service however can be a bit patchy sometimes. We are not cantonese or mandarin speaking people so if the staff member attending to you doesn't speak good english, it can't be a bit daunting if you want to make slight modifications to your order.

A place with the standard cantonese cafe dishes. Hainan chicken rice is decent Prices quite average With lots of other asian places around it doesnt stand out. Nothing bad about it tho Standard asian services
Service is alright. Sometimes you need to keep calling them for a service unless its breakfast where you go to the counter. Some food is tasty but some is just alright. I do like the breakfast set.
