We called and ordered a large pizza and asked about a pizza slice with ham and pineapple. We were told nope...we don't do slices. So when I arrived to pick up the large pizza, I noticed that much of the menu on the back wall was dedicated to toppings available for single pizza slices. I started to ask the fellow at the counter about it and the phone rang. He answered it. The place was busy, as expected on Boxing Day.He hung up the phone and we resumed our discussion. I asked again about our attempt to order a slice. "We're too busy", he said. He caught me speechless for a moment. The slice I was trying to order was for my 91 year-old mother-in-law. Mario's is my preferred pizza choice in Port Colborne. That doesn't mean it is the best pizza I have ever had because it is not even close. The pizza prices are average and the pizza itself is average but better than other pizza in Port Colborne. Ordering wings here is a different story. Half the time you get wings here they are either way overcooked, dry, not saucy, etc. and the other half the time they are decent. Most of the time your order is correct but you never know how the wings will be. The pizza/wing combos are a good price so sometimes I take a gamble and order the wings (there is no casino in Port Colborne so you could consider this gamble entertaining). Worst pizza I've ever had. How hard is it to actually make a good pizza. most places I've gone for pizza are pretty good I've never had a horrible piece of pizza until I went to Super Mario's. The pizza looks like it's been sitting in the warmer for about 2 weeks. The bottom was crunchy barely any sauce the cheese was horrible. I don't understand how there are so many good reviews for this restaurant. I definitely will not be visiting this place again. I like the better when this place was Rose City Pizza and run by a Welland pizza maker. If you want good pizza to go to Welland and try any pizza from any pizza place. The worst pizza place in Welland is better than this one.
OK, it's only a pizza takeout place with a couple of tables outside and inside, but they prepared a very decent pizza for the four of us at about 20$. Service was friendly and feasibly quick for a custom order. They also had a bunch of slices ready to go and a fair number of locals dropping by for lunch.
We thought we would try the pizza, not bad but not spectacular Dough was excellant,topping plentiful however needs better quality cheese .my opinion..but still good and excellant prices..still need to try the wing seems like lots heading out the door
I think this is the place to go in Port Colborne if you want pizza. Very clean and nice staff. Would chose another pizza place if i had my choice. But 100% Best Pizza in Port.
