I was looking for a new steakhouse and decided to try this place, located in a small street in Montparnasse neighborhood. The main dining room is located on the back, while the bar and few tables are available in the front. The menu offer an impressive choice of meat from different renown regions such as Aubrac, Argentina Angus, Australia or US Prime Wagu, … in different sizes and cuts. We started with the polenta-Belotta croquetas and the asparagus as appetizer and had a tender Argentinian rib eye and a thick and tasty picanha cut with crispy home-made French fries. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Paris. My plan had been to go to the New Years 2017 extravaganza on the Champ d'elysees. However, it was in the 20's and I decided that was going to be too cold. Of course, finding a good restaurant at this late date took a bit of searching on The Fork app, but came up with Sur la Braise.The set menu was of good variety and had a wine pairing for an additional 35€. We chose this restaurant after reading all the good reviews on TripAdvisor and I must say they weren't wrong.As mentioned in other reviews the menu is in French!! We had an excellent waiter in Stephane as he was so helpful. Stephane translated the menu into English for us and even went as far as googling pictures to help with his descriptions. We chose from the set menu 2 course for €35 Euros. I have to say for a set menu there was a lot to choose from and there is something there for everyone. I had never been Paris before, I went for my husbands birthday and decided on this restaurant. It was great and I was so happy with my choice. The menu is in French but the waitresses helped with translating and recommended dishes. The meat was extremely tender and melted in your mouth. Only criticism was they did not give you enough sauce so we had ask for more a few times (but this is down to our personal choice) most certainly recommend this restaurant if you have something special to celebrate. We visited on a quiet midweek night in January. They were so helpful with the menu and the food was brilliant. We can hardly speak any French beyond the usual simple sentences but don't want to get stuck eating at tourist restaurants with English menus. The manager and all staff were so friendly and helpful but more importantly the food was fantastic. Would definitely visit again when in Paris. Thank you
Very good selection of steaks. Tried a couple of them. The grain fed was in my view the best. The top side with fat melted over the top was not so great as it was tough and very dense. Good starters of mussels and good wine list. Great service but poor air conditioning (during a Paris heatwave). Well worth a visit but not cheap
Great spot randomly located here!! Bbq-style (smoked/wood oven perhaps) meat, a little bit from everywhere (or so it seems), & less-typical sides being paired with. Very Spanish-inspired. Would recommend to anyone who has got a definitely red meat craving :) Très bon.

We had an excellent meal here. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic and the wine was excellent. We had the Galician beef, which had a wonderful depth of flavour. Try the bone marrow starter, it is excellent.
