I was really looking forward to trying the smash burgers here but unfortunately was completely disappointed by our visit. Luckily managed to find a table big enough for family of 4 with space for pram at side. After. A few minutes of confusion we realised you had to fetch own menus and order at bar. The burgers sounded great and I was pleased the kids menu was very reasonable. We ordered two burger from the main menu, side of beer battered onion rings and a kids burger. The burgers looked great, husband loved his but I found it far too greasy and the amount of fat dripping out of it was off putting and messy. Son loved his. The onion rings on the other hand were revolting, again fat dripping...
Called in for the first time today after a bracing walk along the seafront. No acknowledgment from staff as we went in, had to ask if it was ok to sit at a table. No one told us it wasn’t table service, so after waiting an age found some menus (filthy by the way and went to order. Three young people behind the counter, not interested in being there and chatting amongst themselves. Deigned to look up and serve me, very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Had to get my own drink out of the fridge, no napkins and no salt (had run out! Of salt? Really? Can’t fault the food, was delicious. Really tasty. Have a word with your staff guys, you e got a gem but they let you down.
We visited this restaurant during a trip to the nearby aquarium. The menu consists mostly of burgers, which were quite tasty. The seasoned fries were particularly outstanding. They offer gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options, so the whole family was satisfied. The coffee was mediocre. The restaurant is pet-friendly and clean.
The service at this restaurant was very disappointing. I had to wait 25 minutes for a takeaway coffee and one of the staff members was extremely rude and abrupt. The system for ordering coffee was also poorly organized.

After a bracing walk in the gold we needed a hot drink so called in for lattes, looks so different since the refurb, nice drinks, pleasant atmosphere ok coffee. Not as nice as Ringtons or Pumphreys hence the down grade!
I entered the restaurant and saw two staff members eating. They completely ignored me, so I decided to leave. There are many other places nearby that would gladly welcome you for breakfast. It's disappointing.
We’ve just visited the surf cafe, super cool interior with lovely staff and amazing views of the beach. Also would recommend the salt and pepper chips as they were unreal.
Amazing seaside location with lush views over the beach from the beer garden. Fantastic, friendly staff. Great for coffee in the morning or beers in the evening!

50 minute wait for 2 mediocre warm coffees, absolute joke. Get your act together plenty more out there with better service and coffee.
food is so so extremely nice i really reccomend it, however chef forgot to make my food but overall really nice food and place
