The restaurant had many empty tables, yet I was seated away from the window despite not requesting that location. The waitress brought the wine and left without letting me sample it first. While some of the tempura was warm, others were served cold. The sashimi and sushi arrived while we were still enjoying our appetizers, as they would have gotten cold otherwise. The payment process took too long. Although the waitress made an effort to be friendly, the sushi nigiri was quite pricey given that the quality was only mediocre.
One of the classic fine Japanese restaurants in MD! Highly, highly recommended. I've lived in Japan and have very high standards toward Japanese cuisine. A chef in Sushi Damo is actually from Japan, and his dining style and food qualities are just spot on. Any type of appetizers, entrees, rolls, and even desserts have not betrayed my expectations until now. My personal recommendations are: agedashi tofu, calamari, beef teri, nabeyake udon, every Damo creation rolls, and... I
The meal was decent, but it didn't leave me eager to return. The Udon soup lacked flavor. The waitstaff poured the beer and somehow cleaned the spills, but they didn't replace it. I found that amusing. Throughout our meal, the staff kept asking if we wanted to order anything else, but when it was time to settle the bill, they were nowhere to be found.
I love the sushi in this place. The quality and taste have been consistent. There is a good ambience, and they have a friendly staff. The only hiccup has been the waiting time to be served. Having been there on a busy and a slow night, we founded ourselves wondering if our server knew that we were there. Nevertheless, they ?ended up doing a good job.

Never seen such meager portions. Priced per piece not for 2, items really small, so small made me laugh and think of Nouvelle Cuisine, but without the quality. Actual quality was not bad, but certainly not good enough to make up for lack of proportion. Service was slow even with only a couple of tables occupied. Not worth the price.
At the time of our booking the restaurant was deserted. There were no other patrons eating at tables and when we walked inside there were no staff in sight. We said hello walked towards the back and still no sign of life. We turned around and walked out, across the road to the bustling Thai restaurant !
each dish was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. I could taste various flavors and textures in each dish which I loved, and it was overall an amazing experience. I would definitely go again with my family. I highly recommend coming here for an authentic japanese sushi experience!
We had great time tonight. Very beautiful and tasty!! The sushi and appetizers were great. My daughter took many photos.

eating was ok, but they were very short on waiting staff. they tried their best to take care of all sitting people.
