Generous, fresh, quality ingredients and exceptional value. With the cost of business/supplies/labour having gone up exponentially in the past couple of years, I still can't believe the chirashi donburi was only $21.95 the serving size andvariety were already generous, 4 sockeye and 3 toro were also included!!! what an incredible deal! Sockeye salmon wasincluded in the nigiri combo also. The dynamite roll was excellent with the tempura nicely done. Service was excellent superprompt, friendly, efficient and clean. The seating was very comfortable and spacious with partitioned walls that provided bothprivacy and pandemic social distancing.
After spending $34 (this included tip) for a seafood stack at another restaurant I was left very disappointed with the overall experience so I asked my wife to make one more stop before we headed home. We chose Sushi Jo due to the proximity of the aforementioned restaurant. We chose correctly. The service was immediate and genuinely friendly. We ordered two rolls and theassorted tempura. Everything was perfect and we spent the same amount of money. Sushi Jo absolutely saved the day.
I had the Sashimi Nigiri Combo, which was very delicious! The salmon and tuna were not skinny, but nice thick pieces and melt in your mouth scrumptious! We also ordered Spicy Agadashi tofu, which was also very yummy.My hubby had the Bibimbab, which in his own words was, Fabulous!"Definitely going back to try some other dishes on the menu!
This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Comox Valley. Having tried sushi all over Canada, I can confidently say that this is one of the best. The seafood is unbelievably fresh, the staff are extremely friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! I regret not taking pictures before I ate everything. The sushi were delicious and the server gave us good service. The long wait to get our sushi was not as great however. It felt like we waited forever to get our food, but they also had a full house that evening, which may have explain the cause of thewait. Overall I would definitely go back.

Picked up some sushi rolls for the evening meal. Service was good, ready right on time, nice, friendly staff and the sushi was great. Yam and avocado rolls, spicy tuna rolls and dynamite rolls, all first class. We'll be back.

We found this place by chance. The interior is ok and the food really good and fresh. Great salmon! We also had a Korean dish, tasty. It's family owned, very friendly. We can absolutely recommend Sushi Jo.
