I’ve now been to Sushi Kai 4 times since it first opened but regret to say that I probably won’t go back again after this recent visit. Over the years there were several changes made to the menu selections, pricing, and sushi chefs to the point I think that now it’s not worth the $155/person price anymore.When the place first opened the menu was modern and innovative. While I personally prefers the more traditional styled omakase, my wife enjoyed the modern twist so we thought it was a good experience overall.However, over the past ~3 years this place has become more expensive, which is understandable given inflation, but also less innovative/unique. This last visit was especially disappoint...
I went for the first time for a belated Valentine's Day dinner, and it was truly an incredible experience. Each dish served was unique and packed with fascinating flavor combinations that were utterly delicious. The restaurant had a clean, modern atmosphere with great music playing. The service was outstanding; the staff was very attentive to all our needs. I believe everyone should have the chance to experience Sushi Kai. A huge thank you to everyone there—we truly appreciate all your hard work; it really shows!
It was one of our best dinner ever! Great and talented chefs pushing out a variety of amazing amuse bouche, appetizers, carefully curated nigiri courses, all the way to now serving home-made desserts!! Simon, you are the best!
