We got the sushi and sashimi omakase for $90. Good quality, great service. Minus two stars for the owner of the establishment, who told the hostess and waiter to ask me for proof that my dog is a service dog. I ended up having to disclose my medicaldisabilities and it wasn?t a comfortable experience. According to the ADA, I do not have to disclose the nature of my disabilitynor prove that I have a disability to be treated like a normal customer. The staff and hostess were just following the ordersof the owner, so this review is for the owner of the establishment. First of all, wow! I’m truly impressed by the quality of the sushi omakase from Sushi Katsuei. The fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation make this sushi delivery stand out from the rest. I was a bit worried that the omakase experience wouldn’t carry over through delivery, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! The Dasher delivered the sushi to my door so quickly that it felt almost like I was dining in the restaurant. I will definitely be ordering from Sushi Katsuei again in the future, and I highly recommend you do the same!
This restaurant offers decent value compared to other high-end sushi places where the total can easily exceed $75 after fees and tips. However, I found the fish selection in the Sushi Deluxe to be somewhat lacking. The two pieces of lean tuna (akami) I received were rather bland in flavor. On the positive side, the portions were generous, especially compared to places like Sushi 35 West and Sushi By Bou, which serve very small portions.
I had a wonderful experience with the sushi here, which was packed with rich flavors. The chefs were friendly, and the restaurant was clean. However, I had to take away a star because it was really crowded, and the staff who seated us and took our orders seemed a bit inattentive. They appeared to ignore us after we were seated. Highly recommended by a friend, we chose this restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented Omakase. We also tried the daikon and hijiki salad, which was excellent. The service was outstanding, and my friend was absolutely delighted. It was a perfect dinner for a special occasion. I definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely amazing! I couldn't be happier—10/10! I have allergies, and they took them into account on the receipt, which made me feel so appreciated. Plus, the sushi is incredible!
