Centrally located in the heart of Cairns. Small place around the corner from Woolworth's.Great food if you are into Japanese food. Drinks are plentiful (non alcoholic) and a great variety. Sit in your chair and watch the variety of food go past you on the sushi train. Select what you wish to eat as it goes past great fun. Pricing is based on the colour of the plate. Lots of food and great price for what you get. If you don't like what you have on the sushi train you can order specials off the main menu which they prepare in front of you. Great service with the tradition welcome and thank you on departure. Pricing is more than reasonable. High quality food which is very fresh.
To be honest, it is very difficult to eat well in Cairns. There are lots of mediocre pricey restaurants. Taking that into account, I would say Sushi train is one of the best choices you will have. I am a sushi lover and found some very good options (the teriyaki salmon dragon roll and the twin roll) for an excellent price so if you enjoy sushi,give it a go! :)
So the great thing about this place is the sushi is super cheap! It's average tasting and the staff are super friendly, to the lady who worked on Saturday 18th at lunch time, well done on your customer service and Thankyou for serving myself. It closes half way through the day for staff break and dinner prep so be sure to check open times.
The sushi here is decent, big bites, whatever you like, they are ready to make it. A negative point for the waitress, the service is not very welcoming, almost embarrassing, and after repeating her a couple of times our order has arrived wrong. We love sushi and this place is close to home, we will return hoping for better service.

Very reasonable on prices! Great for a quick stop in and eat spot. You can request what you don't see on the train and it is still cheap. Only thing that threw me off was the tuna salad in sushi here, but i realized after it is like this in most Australian sushi restaurants.
Fantastic food that keeps coming around and if you don't see what you want you make a special order at no extra cost. I found the food very fresh and very good quality and also very reasonably priced. Very good service and a very enjoyable night also lots of fun.

Simple Japanese restaurant, with a wide choice of dishes. Recommended for a quick lunch or dinner. Very clean. Excellent quality. Chefs in sight, smiling and capable

Great variety of sashimi available. Chef will make whatever you like. Very busy, very small and a little bit dirty.
Awesome food but very small and busy hard to get seats for 4. But worth the wait decent pricing as well.
