Competition is a plenty with numerous other sushi restaurants in Rockville Centre but this one has stood the test of time. From it's inception on Merrick Rd (current location of La Bottega) to now in the heart of Park Avenue (across from the movie theater) this restaurant delivers on taste and quality. Here you will not find a modern decorated restaurant with a beat and cocktail menu longer than the special roll list (just beer and wine served). Instead, this no frills traditional decorated sushi bar with wood accents and authentic art scattered throughout puts food quality and customer satisfaction at the top of the list. I hate to write a bad review because their rolls are pretty good but I have to say the customer service and attitude I got from the lady who answered the phone was terrible. I ordered four rolls and they only send a small pill cup with a teaspoon of soy sauce in it for the four rolls. The woman proceeded to tell me that her customers know to order more soy sauce. I told her I am a customer because I paid you for the food. She kept arguing with me about it that I finally told her I'll never order from them again because of the attitude and how cheap they are with their soy sauce. I would give this restaurant 5 stars for the food! It's fresh and absolutely delicious. You must try the rainbow roll. The young staff member is very kind and friendly, and the kitchen team is fantastic! However, the girl at the counter was a bit rude. I understand that not every day is perfect, but since we are paying for the service, we expect a better experience.
Rice was soft but gummy, loaded in sesame so all I tasted was that. My California roll had no crab meat, and they forgot the lunch special came with a salad. The ramen here was undeniably the worst I've ever experienced. It was both bland and unappetizing. My wife and I ended up throwing out all of the soup. Additionally, the restaurant appeared unclean. We won’t be returning. Rating: 1/5
The absolute worst sushi I have ever had. Ate one piece and gagged. Couldn't even eat it. And they are overly priced for the low grade quality food that they are selling. Better off just ordering from Kashi for a few extra bucks
Asked multiple times for extra soy sauce on my order for delivery with two roll orders. Only sent one tiny soy sauce. This has happened more than once with them.
