Came here with 5 others on a Friday night and the restaurant were kind enough to put together three tables even though they had limited seating as it is more of a fast food/takeaway joint and was pretty full at 7:30pm. As I am pregnant, I ordered a cooked item of beef ramen which although I requested it to be not spicy, was still quite spicy. The noodles tasted like 2 minute noodles and the broth was less than impressive. I noticed however that the sushi and sashimi dishes that others ordered looked extremely fresh and well presented, so think that this is what this restaurant specialises in, rather than cooked food. I first dined here when I was looking for a healthy option for lunch, and was sold on the Chicken Teriyaki with rice and salad. I have since returned several times and always enjoy my meal.The sky-light in the ceiling adds an extra splash of sunshine and a nice vibe to the cafe-style eatery. You simply order and pay at the counter upon arrival, then take your seat. Food is served promptly.The $9.90 Chicken Teriyaki lunch special is no longer available, and so the same sized meal is now unfortunately $13.90. I go here so much that I'm pretty sure all the workers there must have memorised my face and my order by now. Really good sushi and really good udon. Quality food, and very polite staff. A nice environment to eat in, very close proximity to Pennant Hills Station, so overall a good place to eat. Good value for money, fresh fish, all the boxes ticked for a good Japanese restaurant. I'm a frequent customer, and that won't stop any time soon.
My daughter and I really enjoyed dinner here. This is a place more about takeaway, rather than restaurant ambience but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I had the chicken Katsu bento box which was a generous meal, my daughter enjoyed salmon options and we both left full!!

Sushi Yah is a good little place to get fresh, tasty sushi, often made on premises while you wait and watch. I have eaten in a couple of times, and it's not a very spacious or comfortable restaurant. I'd recommend takeaway over dine in.
Been here a few times now. Its a small basic restaurant but the food is very good. Had some very fresh sashimi and sushi. Service is also very good. Restaurant is located across the road from the train station so very easy to get to
Sushi Yah is one of those rare finds. Stunning food, raving fan service and sensational value for money. I LOVE visiting, which I do often. An amazing selection of sushi, all freshly in front of you. This place is an absolute must.
We were walking past and the smell was the first attraction. Everything looked fresh and they cook to order. Chicken teriyaki fir $9.90 was tasty, good value and served quickly.

This is a great local sushi place. Always busy so you know it's fresh. Good basic sushi. Sashimi is limited - just salmon
