The staff at the restaurant was fantastic! I took my residents from the assisted living facility there for a lunch outing, and they treated us with kindness while the food was delicious. However, since we were only a party of six, I didn't expect gratuity to be automatically added to our bills. Now that I'm reviewing the receipts, I noticed that an 18% tip was included on each bill (we had split checks), which means we ended up paying an additional 20% on top of the 18%. This was our first time at Swagat and are glad we tried it out. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken. We were given plenty of time to look over the menu. Our waiter was great, he asked what kind of food we were interested in and the spice level. My wife got a chicken dish that was a little spicy and I got a lamb dish that made my nose run (perfect!! . We also ordered an appetizer, but our waiter recommended the chili chicken. It was a great recommendation. All the food was served hot and fresh. And it was also plentiful as we had to take quite a bit of it home with us. If you are looking for an authentic Indian cuisine restaurant, Swagat should be on you short list of places...
Love, love, love this place! The food and service are phenomenal! I can't handle spicy foods. I requested mild spice for my dish. And my food was seasoned PERFECTLY! I didn't taste any heat at all. Oh, and the aroma of it all. I can't think of any other foods that have the aroma as Indian cuisine. Afterward, I traveled about an hour away, and the aroma stuck with me. I heated my leftovers up for my parents, and here it is Saturday, and their house still has the aroma. I will definitely without a doubt visit Swagat again! On my top 5 list of best restaurants to eat. Swagart definitely has swagger!
SWAGAT is the best Indian restaurant on the planet. They never deviate from quality nor flavor, they always deliver. In fact, when I dine at other Indian restaurant I expect the same flavorful taste and quality as SWAGAT but sadly I leave disappointed everytime. Swagat is our top choice in the Triangle area for satisfying our Indian food cravings! The food is outstanding and always reminds us of home in Delhi. We visit this restaurant often and have sampled a wide range of dishes, all of which have consistently been excellent. I've also used their catering services, and the quality of the catered food was just as impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly as well. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here!
I recently had the most amazing tandoori grill food here. The prawn was impeccably grilled, with perfectly balanced spices that made it juicy and delicious. The chicken was grilled to perfection as well, and I can confidently say that the food at this place is absolutely incredible. The service was outstanding too. You must give this place a try, or else you'll be missing out on something truly exceptional.??
Today I visited Swagat for dinner. Food was awesome. I really liked the customer service. The restaurant was very well maintained and clean. They made sure even the water is refilled. Food was served very quickly, both veg and non-veg was delicious. My son liked Samosa chats a lot. I will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
The food was okay, standard fare, nothing special. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Had to ask for water refills, took over an hour to get any kind of food. We were constantly ignored by staff. One member even took my menu and gave it to someone else before taking my order. I was so disappointed.

Swagat is my favorite Indian food restaurant in the Raleigh area and I have tried several places. I drive 30 mins to eat here (without traffic .I recommend Lamb Vindaloo and Shrimp Tikka Masala. Always get 2 orders of the garlic naan ; You won’t regret it!
As for wheelchair accessibility, it was easy to get in as long as you can manage to open the door. The staff is more than happy to assist by opening it for you.
