Four of us, aged 62-77 years old, had dinner at a nearby restaurant and heard the wonderful music at Swannies. We decided to stop in for a dance and some drinks. When we tried to sign in around 7pm, the older members of our group had difficulty, so I added them as dependents on the Check in Qld App. As a co-owner of a licensed venue in Surfers Paradise with RSA RMLV certification, I am familiar with the regulations. Despite the venue being relatively empty, the lady behind the bar, who wore glasses, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Went to this restaurant on a Groupon voucher, was met by a nice smiling and happy waitress and being as we had booked a late afternoon meal the restaurant wasn’t busy we were immediately taken to a table and given drinks we ordered,thinking our food ordered wouldn’t be as good on the voucher how little did we know, we ordered a food platter which had Calamari,Honey Prawns, Small pieces of Lamb,Small pieces of Belly Pork,Arangci Mushrooms,Buffalo wings, Cold slaw and finished off with a fabulous small basket of cooked Chips, the food came out fast and was perfect for two or even three and we came away very satisfied, so thank you Swannies we will hopefully be back again
So Disappointing - A great looking place but a disastrous experience.They didn't even get the basics right.Salad instead of vegesNo offer of a glass of water or bottle of water for the tableNot even salt and pepper on the table let alone offering cracked pepperThe advertised "live music" turned out to be a a couple of karaoke singers!!!Don't start me on the overcooked fishDid they ask how our meals were? - NOAre they interested in what their customers experience is like? - NO - otherwise they would have dropped by and had a chat as we were winding up - they may have learn't a lot.I will never go back to swannies
From the the first enquiry on the phone the manager was so helpful by squeezing us in. Then we were greeted with a warm smile and a fresh, clean table and drinks were served very promptly. The food took a little while but that was great cause we had very talented live entertainment. The over all night was really enjoyed and a warm vibe just oozed all around the premisis. So yeah 5/5 for service and experience. As for the food it was pretty amazing, we really enjoyed what we ate.

Have eaten there several times, breakfast and lunch. Standard menu, reasonable prices, service depending on who you draw. Had a disagreement on billing of specials which was handled well by the senior waitress on duty despite my temper. They have coped well with the street construction noise, which should soon be gone. We eat out on the Gold Coast frequently and will keep my dear old Swannie on the menu.
At the entrance of Australia fair, you can eat inside or outside We went to this place 2 years ago, and go again. The menu has changed, and the food is better! I had a salad with calamari, the taste was so different from other places, I enjoyed it Dessert was very good too Service was very nice and smiley, we will go again
We are so happy we discovered Swannies. The food and service were excellent. Although we don't eat out often, we will definitely be returning. The lunch Blackboard Specials were fantastic and dinner had a wide selection at great prices. Congratulations, Swannies, on a job well done. A+!
Nice enough place, only faults were lack of staff on Valentine’s Day, therefor the service was a bit poor but staff are nice. Great food, was really looking forward to the chickpea Buddha bowl but unfortunately they forgot the dressing so it was a bit dry. The fries were awesome though!

Coffee, Cakes, Meals and more ..... Swannies has great leather lounge chairs to relax on while munching on breakfast, lunch, dinner or in-between. I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely different for Labrador and worth a visit and make your own mind up.
