This is not a restaurant review. Instead, this is a story about two beautiful human beings entering into their favorite restaurant and feeling completely taken care of, in a gastronomical sense. In a way, this is a Love story. It 's a Friday evening. The love of my life and I are hungry, and decide to head towards our favorite area to dine. I speak of downtown Needham, MA. My husband and I have been to the Sweet Basil in Waltham on numerous occasions which is why I 'm able to recommend all of the food that is posted. We went for the first time to the Sweet Basil in Needham and we were equally as plesed. For starters, we had the Pesto with Fresh Bread, and the Garden Vegtable Risotto. . For our entrees, I had Salmon on Cold Orzo Salad with Asparagus and my husband chose the Gluten Free Shrimp Sscampi. This dishes are the creation and expertise of Dave,the owner, and the adjective AMAZING sums up the excellence of every dish and beverage served there. I highly recommend this restaurant. My absolute favorite italian restaurant. Food is all fresh and delicious and the pesto is absolutely delicious. I keep coming back here because service is always great and the bring your own bottle policy is nice. They always let me take some pesto home and are very friendly!
This place gets busy! You can bring your own wine and they will uncork it for you. The pesto that they make there is amazing. The rosemary chicken was a hit at our table. I had the vegetarian lasagna which was a bit undercooked. Overall though we had a good experience! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
arguably the best Italian restaurant in Massachusetts. Would go here over any North End restaurant 10/10 times. Everything on the menu is killer Bolognese and Braised Chicken are personal favorites. BYOW!
Great dining experience! Restaurant was comfortable though very busy, and a bit noisy with conversation but that didn't take away from the excellent food and service. Definitely will be back!
The food was good but not phenomenal. I think the portion size was very generous though. Make sure you remember to BYO alcohol as they do not serve on premises.
