I planned this anniversary trip. Flew from Virginia to ATL to surprise my husband with all his favorite things. Made this reservation about two months in advance…let the restaurant know it’s a celebration anything they could do to make it special since coming from out of town…it’s like the total opposite was done. Upon arrival, the host at us at a table as far away from the stage as they could. My husband spoke the manager and they moved us near the stage so we could see the band. Then waiter took our food and drink orders, food took a long time to come out and when it did, all the food (appetizers entrees) came out together, instead staggered with appetizers first. During our first visit to Atlanta, we had a great experience at Sweet Georgia's. The food was delicious and our server, Sam, was fantastic. Sam went above and beyond to explain the menu and share information about must-see sites in Atlanta. The live music duo, Matt and Terrence, added to the enjoyable atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint next time we're in Atlanta. Sam is truly an asset to the restaurant.
The restaurant was pleasant and the food was delicious. The service was good, but our server seemed overwhelmed when the restaurant became busy. The entertainment was fantastic! The main problem was that they provided validation for parking at their recommended lot (150 Carnagie Way), but the validation did not work. We ended up having to pay $22 to park. Frustrating!
The young lady who waited on us was excellent. We did not have to ask for anything because she provided. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name. She is a young black female with excellent customer service skills. I will be back because of her.

The overall experience was great! However, if we're going to pay for the band, we should be able to stay as long as we'd like. When you have a large party, 2 hours isn't long enough. Especially, when your reservation is prior to 7pm.
The food was decent, but the atmosphere was lacking. The lighting was too bright and the tables were too close together. The musicians were average.
The service was excellent and the performance was great. Food was 4 stars out of 5
Live band! But, still able to talk. Fantastic! And, SAM our server was the best!!
