Had to check with some negative comments here. My husband and I just visited this week. We went to lunch and sat right away. The waitress was very friendly and since we had never been there, she told us the menu. The salads were very well made with the house Speck Dressing! Homemade yeast rolls very good and the waitress brought more than we wanted. I rarely ordered the Filet Mignon and he ordered the Ribeye Medium Rare. Both steaks were delicious and melted in the mouth. (We are from the Middle West and we know a good steak and that was excellent! Also the pages were good, Mac and cheese and the Squash-Casserole. Today was just the sort of a day that a bowl of Ribeye Chili could fix ; so we made the short drive up 287 for some Sweetie Pie's! We were seated promptly and orders were taken in timely manner. Husband got the chili while I decided to try the chicken breast sandwich since I always get the Monte Cristo. I did enjoy my sandwich! I had also ordered a side of squash casserole to give a whirl. We ended our meal with the Cowboy Custard, I didn't care for the brazed caramel ontop though. Great visit as always! I had been driving about 13 hours and Sweetie Pie's was my first meal of the day. To start off with those delicious yeast rolls was incredible. I ordered the petite filet and it was perfectly cooked and the baked potato was loaded and delicious as was the squash casserole. The service was excellent and every time I go through Decatur I plan on stopping at this restaurant.
