Although the recipes and preparation methods of the food seem the same, there has clearly been a change with the ingredients used in the last few years. The food does not taste as good and is not as appealing as it was in the past. One example is the Ozzy Rolls. It seems a lighter flour was used in the past and they switched the ingredients to a heavier flour, making the rolls much heavier and less appealing. The consistency and taste are lacking compared to 5+ years ago. It was eh, for the pricing you'd expect the plates to at least be plated accurately, we got simple burgers husband got the cheeseburger with fries I got the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries. When they were served they swapped the fries on each plate so his fries had BBQ sauce all over them he had to physically swap the food around because when we explained it to the food runner she was confused and didn't comprehend anything. I sat at the bar last night (Thursday night) and while the food was pretty tasty, still felt overpriced for what it was. My bigger issues though were some of the practices of the staff. First off the young man making drinks at the bar was constantly on his phone and then immediately grabbing cups from the top where guests drink from, fingers inside the cup were off-putting. Secondly, my food had a hair in it, I understand things happen but if my food is being handled by someone making it and someone delivering I would hope it would be seen and rectified. Hesitant to come back while I liked Peter as a bartender these other issues need to be addressed.
Our waiter was Johnny, and I have never experienced such exceptional service, and I have been to many exceptionally rated places across the United States. He checked in with us frequently, and went above and beyond. The food we ate was excellent, and so was the beer. My husband said it was the best burger he had ever eaten. The beer was unique and interesting.

Absolutely gorgeous on the outside. Service was top-notch. Very loud inside. Server moved us to other side of building but could still hear rowdy customers. Food was only so-so. Not going back any time soon. For the prices charged,I think the food should be way better
Don’t bother even trying to order a kids salmon here. They NEVER have it available and will give you all kinds of excuses. GAR makes enough it’s so sad. They claim they only have 5 or 10 of them available for kids per day. By the way, it’s at every GAR location
This has been one of my favorite places to dine since I moved to the Northern VA area over 20 years ago. Still is. I have never had a bad meal here. Their salmon is incredible and the pork chops are amazing. I can't go here without getting the lobster bisque.
One of our favorites. Something for everyone. Get the Ozzie rolls. Haven’t had anything bad here ever. My go-to is the filet and crab cake. Don’t leave without getting the bread pudding. Seriously, don’t.
