The Region of Durham Retirees Group has lunch here every two months. Our waitress Shelly (I hope I got her name right) is wonderful and knows all of her preferences without having to be reminded. We bring our coupons and Scene cards for points and she makes sure all of us get the best bang for our dollar knowing we are all retired and living on fixed incomes. The food comes out all together despite the size of our group. The food is always hot and fresh. The one thing you can rely on here is consistency. We are never disappointed with our food or service. This is why we keep coming back.
We love Swiss chalet and this was our first time at the Courtice location. I’m not sure where they get their chickens from but the quarter chicken dinner I had was pathetically small. The chicken portion was the size of a dinner roll (see photo)...and smaller than my baked potato. I’ve had more meat on three chicken wing drumettes than I got for this meal. I heard another customer remark to a manager that her portion was the size of a quail. The daytime manager was very nice but the server couldn’t manage a smile.
As usual the chicken was good, but I’m hate kale, if I wanted a kale salad, I’d order kale. Apparently Swiss chalet in their infinite wisdom has decided to add 90% kale to their Caesar salad....Nooooooo. That is so gross. It’s bitter, hard to chew...and digest, just does not belong in a Caesar salad. Service was fine, but I won’t go back until they give me a Caesar salad, no kale!
very expensive for a stk.when and dried fries and try a waitress to get back on the table. every time I wait for takeout is forever and the manager always says the same lie that they are understaffed or they...didn, do not expect that many people on a Saturday night. only as last resort. my friend is here on Sunday after a long day. we were met with a wonderful customer service in the take-out area with a gentleman called sean. he was absolutely fantastic and very friendly. eating was excellent as always. very cheap. I will. in any case return! thanks sean.
Went with my family and the server was wonderful. She even gave us the water and lemon finger bowls! A rare touch! We'll definitely be back again! Did not use their washroom facilities, so cannot review their cleanliness.
the worse jerk I've ever had. in my refrigerator was a bottle of grace jerk. Perhaps the person who did the soße should have done the same. they waste their money if they like jerk

the first time here, because we are not often in this area. no surprises, fast service great food and no surprises! we will return when in this area
