I’ve been ordering from this restaurant every time I visit Fall River for about six years now. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have been quite disappointing; the food was far from mediocre—it was simply bad and felt like a waste of money. I stuck with my usual order: a bucket of kale soup and a Chirico sandwich. The meat in the sandwich was dry, overcooked, and tough. The fries were burnt and limp, with a strong smell of old oil, and the soup was lacking in flavor and devoid of any meat. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is that the restaurant is nice, clean, and the staff is friendly. This is a top-notch restaurant with exceptional servers. The food is consistently delightful. I ordered the steak plate with rice, fries, and an egg, which is my favorite dish. The owner is truly a remarkable person—genuine, respectful, and always actively involved in his business. That's true leadership. This should definitely be the number one destination for anyone seeking authentic Portuguese cuisine in Fall River or the surrounding areas.
The food is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable for the generous portion sizes. The drinks are good as well. One side of the restaurant has a more casual bar atmosphere with self-seating, while the other side is a bit more upscale. What a fantastic dining experience! We kicked things off with the little neck clams appetizer, which was unbelievably tasty. I chose the Chicken Angola, and it was simply perfect. The service was outstanding too. This family-operated restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine!
I had my first visit to this restaurant, and the food was amazing! Our waitress, Gina, was fantastic—she went out of her way to make sure we had a great evening. We will definitely be back! If you haven't experienced this place yet, you should treat yourself and go as soon as possible.
