I’ve been a long time patron at the Tabard… always loved their warm quirky atmosphere which lends to both formal and informal attire. The food was never a 5 star rating but good for the price. It wasn’t until the past couple of years that I started noticing a fast decline. After a few highly disappointing experiences, I finally gave up. Fish was totally over cooked, presentation was sloppy, service was horrible. It’s too sad! I miss the old Tabard!!
the tabard inn was a wonderful lunch experience. excellent eating; exemplary service, comfortable noise level for good talk; and a comfortable ambiente perfect to warm up a cold, rather cloudy day. thoughtful touches like a decorative floor umbrella between tables and coat hooks added to the table to the friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
Positives Food was delicious. I had the poached pear salad and the Halibut. Both were excellent. Negatives A bit on the pricey side and the portions are a bit on the small side. The positive in that is I had room for dessert which was also very good.
I ordered the shrimp and grits for brunch based on my servers recommendation. The shrimp were so over cooked I cook barely pierce them with a fork. The bits of ham were rubbery and the grits were somewhat runny. Not a good experience Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Awesome experience for brunch. Service was great, food was great and table was comfortable for party of 6. Really enjoyed our time there. Visiting from Miami and have seen all kinds of brunches. This one is solid.
An accidental find, but a great place to eat. Enjoyed it very much. The potatoe and leek soup was fabulous, as was the shrimp as an appetizer.
first visit. very nice place physically with good eating. Unfortunately, many hard surfaces that mock talks mean its pretty loud.
