Taberna Jarra Dorada

Wandering along the harbour front and looking for a place to try paella as we had been told it was a local dish. The first place we came to was queueing, so we wandered a little further to this taverna. We were seated promptly but this was the only good experience of the night. We then waited for our drinks order which was nearly 20 minutes later to finally get a drink. This wasn't due to a lack of staff as there were 5 or 6 waiting staff serving other customers constantly. Hello, serving leaves much to be desired, employees do not pay attention to what you order, do not pay attention if you want something else, when you ask them to bring something extra they have an unpleasant attitude, throw napkins looking nervous, food not what we expect, gambas and the oil was burnt, it felt like the oil was burned and reheated a few times, the grilled chicken breast for my daughter was undone and I asked to put it on the grill for a few more minutes, the worst experience view of the service provided, food, attitude, cleanliness. Our kids needed to eat so we sat here and instantly regretted it. The staff were unfriendly, and the menu was so expensive my husband and I decided not to eat we’re happy to pay expensive prices but not when the quality of food looked poor. The kids menu was €10 so ok but when the burger arrived it was an odd pinkish colour. I wish I’d taken a photo as it was awful, an unnatural colour. I told the kids not to eat it I have a steak blue but this looked so under cooked. We couldn’t be bothered to argue so the kids just ate the chips, we paid and left. Great location directly across from the marina. We were drawn into this restaurant serving inside and outside, we opted for the outside as we could people watch. Really good service. Friendly and efficient. Plus a good choice of foods from the menu. They also had menus for every nationality and language. Why couldn’t every restaurant do this. 10 out of 10.

Bad service, took multiple attempts to order drinks before everyone on the table had one. Bad food. Bad service. It might look busy but that doesn't mean it's good. Avoid.
