Today I went to this tavern to drink a coffee. The first thing I did when entering was to great the barkeeper loud and clear. No answer. He just stood there looking at me with a moron look on his face as if I had said something inappropriate. I ordered my coffee, he went out, came back again and, after a while, started to prepare the coffee. I asked him why wasn't he wearing a mask which is compulsory during this pandemic. Again, he stood there with his unfriendly look on his face without answering. I went out to some other place where I could get a coffee served by friendly and civilized people. Never again.
This was our first visit in this beautiful village of Obidos. We stopped at this taverna for a light lunch. We ordered tabua mista, raw ham with cured cheese and chourico assado or grilled chorizo. Overall a very nice and simple restaurant in a very nice outdoor setting as you enter the village
Stumbled across this little place for a drink and discovered that they made fabulous bread rolls loved by the locals. They were flying out the door. We tried the chorizo but the pork rind looked fabulous too.

Estivemos lá no sábado ao chegar, a simpatia e simplicidade do ambiente familiar aliado à qualidade do repasto servido levaram nos a voltar no domingo à despedida. PS continuamos a adorar o rádio.
Bom lugar para fugir um pouco das ondas de turistas. Menus a 10 ou 12€ com sopa, sanduíche, batata frita, bebida e sobremesa. Rústico mas de boa qualidade (pão artesanal), ambiente agradável.
