I was at this restaurant towards the beginning of February. Great atmosphere. The waiter were incredibly welcoming, and they were never bothersome, while not making us feel like the table was left out. The food was delicious. Starters are fantastic from start to finish (I was in the presence of 7 other people so we took multiple starters and we ate a bit from each order). The meals are traditional in the sense they follow the canon of Portugese cuisine, however the chefs make sure to put their personal spin on it, mostly through adding spices to both enhance the taste of the food plated, and bring flavors on the side. my partner and I visited velhos tempos while we were in braga and we were not disappointed! velhos tempos is decorated in an old-fashioned style that makes it very comfortable and cozy. as an appetizer there is maisbrot. (typically for the northern portugals) and olives that are very tasty! after that we had octopus and bacalhau, who were huge portions, a bottle of red vinho verde (I personally liked it a lot, but it is young weinrebe and is a bit bitter if they do not go as bitter for the white vinho verde, which is refreshing and sweet, both are typical for the northern region portugals.) mousse au colachot, a cream besides the amazing taste of dinner the bill was also very reasonable with...

Siamo stati questa sera in questa veramente strepitosa taverna, dove ci siamo deliziati mio marito con il bacalao che gli fatto dire strepitoso tanto da andare dopo a fare i complimenti alla cuoca ed io il polvo veramente squisito. Inoltre la gentilezza, la professionalitâ sia del cameriere Brasilia che della cameriera e poi la sala ti fa stare proprio tanto tempo fa i tavolini erano il risultato di vecchie macchine da cucire Singer. Io ho finito con la créma catalana una goduria tanto che abbiamo riservato per domani a pranzo. Grazie er la bella serata.

Excelente experiência. Um lugar com muito charme, poucas mesas e atendimento primoroso. Os pratos estrela, o bacalhau com natas e o espetacular arroz de pato. O garçom foi muito atencioso e nos aconselhou sobre cada prato, vinho e sobremesa com muito cuidado. Altamente recomendado. Três de nós comemos uma quantidade muito grande e a um preço muito acessível.

we were here in the summer, it was our first day in portugal and I must say that our vacation could not begin better. great fish and tiny cute location, with a very nice waiter. at this place we learned the first herrage of this land: everyone...dish in really, really big. very nice experience!
