I visited this location to get breakfast for my staff. I ordered the dozen of tacos deal, but started to ask (as I usually do) if I could change some of tacos. I say that I started to because as soon as I began talking the lady cut me off stating, if youwant to customize it that will be 20 minutes. So, I said nevermind and would stick with the original variety, then she rushedto the total without asking if I wanted anything else. So, I stated that I wanted to add something. I waited a long time in the Taco Cabana drive-thru even though there was only one car ahead. They were out of tea. When I reached the window, the girl had an attitude and brusquely asked what I wanted. I responded by asking if something was wrong since I was just waiting for my order. She said my order was ready but she was busy taking other orders. I thanked her and paid. Meanwhile, cars behind were honking, and I think she mistakenly thought it was me, but I didn’t honk. She was definitely not a good representative for the service industry. This happened around 2:45 in the afternoon. The overall experience felt very apathetic, which was disappointing considering Taco Cabana’s menu usually...
The breakfast tacos at Taco Cabana are outstanding! The warm, fluffy eggs and bacon wrapped in a freshly made flour tortilla are incredibly tasty. The dining area is clean, and the staff is very friendly! The self-service salsa and condiment bar truly enhanced my experience at Taco Cabana. Everything is prepared in-house during off-peak hours, and you can definitely taste the difference! Now that the pandemic has ended, I really hope they bring back the self-service salsa and condiment bar, as the small prepackaged containers have a flavor that reminds me of inexpensive grocery store brands.
I don't leave reviews for anything really but I was just really impressed by this Taco Cabana! Hahaha. I ordered a breakfast burrito and their tortilla came out so freakin good. Whoever made it knows how to make it. Warm and slightly crispy outside. Mybf's order came out wrong and they apologized and fixed it right away. I went to their bathroom and I actually felt comfortablebeing there! Pleasant. Shout out to the owner/framchisee/manager who manages this place ????

This Taco Cabana is the best I've discovered during my years of enjoying their offerings. My favorites from the menu are the vegetarian tacos: Bean Cheese with extra beans and Egg Cheese with extra egg, both generously topped with grilled peppers, onions, and pico de gallo. They really pile on the ingredients! I love that! The service here is also incredibly friendly!
The Hatch tacos were my favorite, and the steak is fantastic on anything you order. Their mini sopaipillas were amazing—we went back twice and ordered more. The staff was very helpful, even though it was clear they were short-handed. On the downside, they still haven’t brought back the salsa bar. If they do, I’d give them 5 stars.
Some things have changed, and not necessarily for the better. The food is still pretty good, but portion sizes are noticeably smaller. Service is slow, making it nearly impossible to even get a small cup of salsa. Prices have also increased. It's no surprise that only a few tables were occupied at noon on a Saturday.
The staff at this restaurant is very welcoming. However, my primary issue is their limited hours. I've gone there during regular business hours only to find it closed. I would definitely enjoy this location more if they had consistent hours like most other Taco Cabanas that stay open until midnight.

This used to be my favorite spot for Mexican food, but now the eggs are runny and the salads are less spicy than ketchup. It no longer feels like a Tex-Mex restaurant.
I just returned for my first visit in over 30 years. This was my favorite fast food Mexican place when I lived in Garland, and it still tastes great!
