Came here, because I was absolutely craving a good burrito, due to being pregnant, and I haven't had taco John's for 4+ years.The service was great, atmosphere was good (they were dead)But the food.Oh god, please no. $50 DOWN THE DRAIN!!!The only good thing was my drink, and potatoes with cheese sauce.I got the spicy steak and potato burrito. $4 for a child size burrito?!?! It wasn't even spicy at all. Couldn't taste the steak. Tasted like garbage.My SO got the spicy steak and potato, and a spicy chicken and potato burrito. I tried the new Boss Bowl... Honestly I would have been better saved money getting the Taco salad!!!Had less ingredients than the salad, meaning less meat, less other things too.The remodel looked good.Too bad the workers just didn't care. I had to wait for either of them to get off personal phone(surfing to order.I like to go to the Washington Ave location better. But honestly it's worse service does have better food than here.The remodel(1 year looks good compared to the prior style that was straight up 1980'sI just wasn't impressed with it.
I recently dined at Taco John’s and had a generally positive experience. My order was correct, aside from the missing house dressing, which I didn't consider a major problem. The substitute dressing had an unusual taste that resembled honey mustard instead of the expected flavor. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and it wasn’t overly crowded. Despite the small issue with the dressing, it was an enjoyable visit overall.
For $40 my order should be correct. Chicken tacos were made wrong and the taco pizza also did not have all the toppings it was supposed to have. We were also parked as soon as we came to the window when they had no other customers.

We didn't receive the cheese sauce we paid for, and the tacos were extremely thin. We spent $20 on a six-pack and a pound of food, which felt like a huge rip-off.
