I went to this south location in south 10 McAllen at 4::55am today 04/13/23 and it took 20 minutes to get my breakfast tacos with uncooked and dry potatoes. Staff was not ready at all when I got to window to pay. They were counting money multiple times taking very long. Kitchen didn’t seem to be ready at all. I expressed to them in a Spanish I had to to take someone to the hospital to have a surgery and they didn’t really care. When I finally said just give whatever you have ready. They gave uncooked and dry potatoes that obviously I wasn’t not going to eat. Computer system staff member said was down, big area of improvement for Technology Dept.. Houston Taco Palenque was awesome! Great food, but for being almost empty, they took so long to serve the food. And at this location, you get a vibrating disc to let you know when to go pick up your food, unlike the Macallen location you have a seat with a number and they take your food to the table. The 4 stars for service is for the time it took for them to prepare the order.
Everybody loves Taco P. Went here after a movie since it was the only thing open after 10pm. Food was fresh, like still sizzling fresh. We finished up right before a big rush. The Only issue with this location is the parking situation. It's horrible.
Food was great but the service was bad, no one was tentative to me while I was waiting for my order to be picked up and go overall service was bad only if you had maybe a combo meals I would have probably eat them

I had the taquitos. LOVED THEM. The pickled onions were a great addition. And the $8 margaritas. Only needed one. Also as a heads up its not the cheap sugary margarita mix. They were made well?
I love the salad bar because you can choose everything you want!! and the fajitas are so good! We got the parrillada for 3 persons. The salsas are good, and the jalapeños were really spicy!
Marcos the manager had fantastic service. Always know what to do. He is the reason my family and I keep coming back. Makes the experience so much greater. Great

I go very often because it is convenient for me, and EVERY time I go and ask for the tortillas to be well cooked... I get exactly the opposit.
The food was amazing here. I would definitely go again. They even have a stand full of different kind of sauces and chili.
