A place that feels like the neighborhood spot and that's been around for a long time. They specialize in Ensenada style Mexican Food (like battered fish /shrimp tacos, ceviche, etc) Folks here were super chill and friendly. Very helpful. The prices are very reasonable, and it seems like a place that families can come here for dinner in the middle of the week. I ended up ordering a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a fish ceviche tostada. The shrimp and fish for the tacos were perfectly fried. Nice crunch. The ceviche tasted fresh and delicious. also, I was pleasantly surprised on my full cost after the order. Best tacos i had in east LA so far, worth the wait. Second time having them since this is the closest good review fish tacos near citadel outlet. Also they offer special prices for fish tacos on Wednesday. Its crispy and and creamy at the same time. You can never go wrong with extra crema and grilled chiles. I also tried their camaron its good but if ur going on wed just get all fish taco all in all 10/10 Ambiance: clean , small corner store Seat: both have indoor and outdoor seating available (can be packed on wed, we went at 1pm right after lunch and there's still a line) Parking: theres a small parking space at the back store probably atleast 8-10 cars , the rest is street parking Service...
UPDATE: It seems this restaurant has had its ups and downs during my visits, but I'm happy to report that the service has improved significantly. Previously, the staff could be a bit rude and slow, but now they are efficient and friendly, which is a big plus. Unfortunately, the only downside to my last visit was that the Baja burritos I ordered for my family and me caused some digestive issues. It was not pleasant, especially since we only have one bathroom! The flavor wasn't as good as I remembered either, but I don’t want to judge this fantastic spot based on just one experience. Aside from that, the Baja burritos are still amazing, and I highly recommend trying this place out!
Very rude and racist. Me and my boyfriend went in to get tacos and the cashier is going to have the nerve to start speaking another language when I don't speak the language clearly. The customers even butt in on your conversations. The worst taco shop I ever been too. Never will go again. Also had a customer in the crowded and crammed parking lot purposely try to crash My and my boyfriends car. Too many rude confrontations and poor quality food . Huge chunks of fish inside the taco. It had been a while since my last visit to Tacos Baja, but I finally returned and I'm pleased to report that the food remains just as delicious as I remember. The fried fish they serve is, in my opinion, among the best—it's so tender it practically melts in your mouth. They are also very generous with their portion sizes. The Baja Burrito is fantastic and definitely a must-try. Overall, it's a great spot for fish tacos!
This place is awesome! The line was long but the service was fast! Got the 4 fish tacos and a large Jamaica drink for under $10. Tacos were fresh and the drink the same. Would totally visit again!
Best shrimp tacos in East Los! I go there regularly, and the staff is always friendly. They work quickly, so don't be deterred by the long lines; the wait is definitely worth it for those tacos!
