The aguachiles were tasty, but be warned: the red ones are significantly spicier than the green ones! I learned this the hard way after choosing the red ones and experiencing their heat. Authentic Mexican cuisine at its best! While the prices are comparable to a typical restaurant meal, the portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied. The chilaquiles were quite tasty, but a heads-up: the red sauce packs much more heat than the green! I learned that the hard way after ordering the reds. The carnitas were excellent—tender and flavorful. The agua frescas are refreshing and perfect for quenching your thirst. If you enjoy spicy dishes, the milk in the horchata is a great way to soothe the burn. Plus, the tortillas are made fresh right on-site. They offer a lovely breakfast special that includes Cafe de la Oya, which is quite good. However, I wish there were more options for that special beyond just the standard 'American breakfast.' While they do serve Mexican breakfast and you can order Cafe de la Oya, that tends to be pricier. If you're looking for an affordable choice, the breakfast special is the way to go. Aside from that, it's a pleasant place with ample parking available in the back, and overall, the food is quite tasty. If they expanded the breakfast special options, I would definitely give it that fifth star.
The food was definitely not on par. I complained about my margarita, but it insulted the person who did it. She claimed she had more than what she was supposed to be. So I asked for a refund and she didn't know how to do that. She took my glass into the bottle and through another glass into my glass. You don't know how to measure for drinks. Look at how much food we just stopped. Sad Taco Bell beats this place. And the place started with smoke from the kitchen. We eat there, as the restaurant smells.
Haven't been to this place for a while. The food is a decent size serving. The grilled chicken plate comes with a rice, beans a light side of salad, a grilled spicy green jalapeño pepper and tortillas. The refried beans add flavor to the dish and the chicken is tender. I would go back.
The service was great. The tacos were about 3.5 out of 5. I understand this is a restaurant and needs to pay its rent, but the tacos were $2.25 each, which puts them in the price range of Westside Taco restaurants that pay 3x the rent.
The food and variety are excellent, with daily specials to choose from. However, some items can be a bit pricey. The interior resembles that of a fast food restaurant, so I wouldn't recommend it for a family outing or special occasion.
Please note that this review focuses solely on their Green Chilaquiles plate. While I've seen a variety of dishes ordered by other patrons, particularly the Caldos, my main interest is the Chilaquiles... you get the picture. Enjoy!
After church service my wife and I including my father in law decided to come to Taco Don Chente for lunch. My wife and I been there before and they serve very good food that we enjoy.
