Well where do i start ........decided to have a drive out and eat some early dinner picked here as it had decent reviews . Food firstly 3 Scampi 's and a Gammon ........Scampi 's poor portions poorly presented ....Gammon was best choice . Asked for Bill £62 something told the young lady to take £70 off my card so a nice £8 ish tip , disappointed to check my bank following day and £75 had been taken off my card !!!!!!!! A warm welcome and brilliant food, as always. I had the fish pie this time and I can really recommend it. We often go to town on the starters, having a mix and match mini tasting menu. King prawns and mango and brie parcels are among our favourites. There's always a good choice of meals for all tastes and dietary needs there's a well thought out (sheltered and spacious) seating area outside for those of us who still don't eat indoors. Margaret, Michelle and new girls, Llinos and Courtney all made us feel thoroughly welcome; they are like a ray of sunshine and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Lovely little place. Easy to spot due to the pink building which I loved. Very friendly service and dog friendly in the bar area which was fantastic. Food was stunning. All meals went down a treat though I must say the burger was a particular stand-out for me. Very reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Didn't have to wait about for ages for food either. Would definitely visit again. Very sad we missed Thursday night pizza night
What can I say, this was not as i expected from the pictures, the food was ok to be fair but definetly popety pinged and not as pictured. We were expecting a samll imtimate country pub , it wasn't like that at all. Servcie was poosr and we waited ages for an average meal. It tasted ok but I could have had similar at McDonalds. The restaurant was empty and freezing cold, we ate our food and left.
