I love the baked goods at this bakery, but unfortunately I got food poisoning from their zhongzi. I wanted to confirm that it was indeed the zhongzi that made me sick before writing this review, and it was. Six hours after eating it, I experienced extreme stomach and intestinal pain, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I am also pregnant, so this was very concerning. I am disappointed in this bakery and have not been feeling well since. I used to have a strong stomach, so the fact that I got so sick from their zhongzi indicates that it was bad for a while before being sold. This makes me question the quality of their other products as well. I had hoped to support this family-owned bus...
Bakery is small inside but the aroma is enticing!Selection of your common Cantonese buns, both plain and with fillings such as coconut, custard, bbq pork, pineapple, red bean ... to other sorts of pastries, egg and Portuguese tarts, cakes, fried savory dumplings and white sugar sponge cake among a few more.Review of few of the items purchased today, the custard and Danish bun, as labeled on the case.The texture and taste of the bread is good and soft with a slight sweetness. However, there is little to no filling. What did I pay for? The custard bun is almost nonexistent. You can see a very light layer and almost hollow inside. The Danish bun top layer on the outside was flaky and flavorful...
If you're looking to sample some delicious Asian bakery items, this is the spot to visit! Personally, I always opt for the Ham and Eggs, Ham and Onion, and Crispy Chicken sandwiches here - the bread used for these sandwiches is incredibly soft. The standout item for me is the crispy egg custard tart, which surprisingly doesn't taste like eggs at all! In addition to sandwiches, they also offer cakes and boba drinks, although I'm not entirely sure about the prices. The bakery items I typically purchase range from $1 to $3, making it quite affordable. For the freshest experience, it's best to visit right when they open.
The Asian desserts at this restaurant are authentic and not overly sweet. The savory buns are also delicious. Additionally, the prices are very fair. We ended up ordering multiple items and were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the bill was.

Best Chinese bakery in Michigan and a step above it's competitors in Madison heights. Love that they have joong, good egg tart, ham suey gok, mochi coconut rice balls and their fruit cakes are delicious.
It is cheap for sure, but it is cheap for a reason. I would rather pay more and eat something better. If you truly think this is good, go try Tous Les Jours and tell me this place is good.
Consistently good Chinese bakery with pork buns, zhongzi, egg tarts, etc. The pastries are fresh, and the place feels very clean. Everything is always delicious!
What a special gem in michigan! This place sells authentic Chinese baked goods and even has zongzi 粽子!! A must go place whenever I visit troy!
