Ordered pork hock over rice, vegetable wrapped in tofu skin, and spicy flavored squid with bell pepper. If it’s two of you then the rice portion isn’t enough and you need to order some other carb. Pork hock is ok, on the tangier side but the dipping sauce is awesome. The rice also came with cabbage, minced pork with dried bamboo, and a marinated egg. Veggies wrapped in tofu skin is pretty good, but along with the squid are on the saltier side. Served within 10min for 11:15AM Sunday.
Delicious, authentic Taiwanese style dishes, which I shared with three other friends. You know it's good when there's a good amount of waiting needed. No need to make recommendations because just about everything is good, and Taiwan style. A little something for everyone. If I had to recommend something, it would be the pork hock, aka pork feet. Real good, comfort food. And the prices aren't too bad for bay area!
This is the place to go for Taiwanese Cuisine. The real name of the restaurant means Wan Luan Pork Hock but I have to say they are not aced on it. Oddly the beef fried rice is perfect with lard, which makes it smells taste great. The popcorn chicken is also first class, it will degrade with moist if taken out.
This is the best authentic Taiwanese food I have ever had in the US so far. I am referring to the taste. Lots of choice that reminds me of Taiwan street food when I was a kid. The price is okay. Highly recommend here! Really good with decent price. Especially Wan Luan Pork Hock, which is the special of this restaurant. There is no bone inside so really easy to bite. Pop corn chicken, chicken soup and basil fish filet are also good. The crispy intestin was just ok, not very crispy.
Chicken cutlet rice plate I only saw few pcs of chicken slices not the entire chicken cutlet. Pork Shank average taste not really impressive. I asked the waitress if they can add vegetable to my noodle soup. She suggested me to order a stir fried vegetable plate which is $11.95 plus tax :
Taiwanese style home food. It is famous for it pork knuckle, popcorn chicken. The noodle dishes are ok too. You are looking at average 25-30 per person.
