I like the atmosphere at The Tall Grass Prairie on Westminster Ave. It is a small, clean and intriguing bakery. The cookies are great. I especially like the varieties of bread. BUT - their cinnamon buns are worth every penny and every moment we have to wait to get home. We make tea and serve TGP buns and it feels like the sun is shining in and a great time to chat or read a book. I think you will be glad to find this small bakery in Woosley.
I have had nothing but amazing baked goods from here. You can actually buy these products through out the city of Winnipeg - Vita Health. I am obsessed with their cinnamon buns - whole wheat, organic and delicious! I take them home and warm in the microwave for 10 seconds...heaven
I'm more used to going to Tall Grass at the Forks when I visit Winnipeg, but I passed by their Wolseley location on a long wall from St-Boniface to Assiniboine Park. Just the place to recharge your batteries with a cinnamon bun. Their mushroom turnovers are to die for as well.
Like it a lot but the service could be warmer. Price hikes really don't reflect the industry at large. Would love to see them use no sugar or honey in at least one bread selection. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Have yet to have anything that has not impressed me. The texture, smell and all around general attention to detail makes this a superb must try in wolsley.
We just beat the long line up on a Sat morning but 10 minsWe got 2 of the famous cinnamon rolls, half a dozen cookies, scone, croissant and 2 coffees.

I love the whole wheat cinnamon buns at Tall Grass. They have a nice patio in the summer. Take home a loaf of bread for a special treat.
