Mid-week lunch stop, tapas sized portions which was great given the heat!. Octopus salad was really very tasty and rather superb, plus a “bread sausage” local specialty dish which was “interesting” poss not for every one. Sort of traditional ‘peasant’ food with pig fat and vinegar which had been matured for 10mths. Would liked to have tried some of the other interesting sounding dishes on menu such as Blood Sausage or Cows Hands ! Owner was super helpful and engaging. 5 stars too their helping out in their small but vital efforts of hosting Ukrainian displaced persons... had short but emotional talk with the waitress they had recently taken on from Eastern Ukraine..
We had a fantastic lunch here today for my husband's birthday.Lovely family run restaurant with a tiny kitchen We had moelas and cod with cream, both were fantastic. Good sized portions, bread was lovely. Prices very reasonable for quality and setting of the restaurant Great chat afterwards with all the staff , so busy enjoying a chat, we almost left without paying! Will be recommending to all of our AL guests here at Pedregulho Experience, Caldeirinhas. Thank you so much for a great lunch
My wife and I were looking for lunch after a 13km hike into Almeida. We were lucky to find Talmeyda. I know nothing of Portuguese cooking and the owner suggested Bacalhau á bras. It turned out to be a great choice and I hope to try cooking it when I get home. Why wife isn't adventurous with food but thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich. Prices were very reasonable.
