Tanabe Japanese Restaurant

Looking for a dinner option in Mordialloc, we parked the car and walked up and down the strip. Looking at the menu we could tell it wasn't going to be cheap but also not over the top expensive. The three of us have different tastes...in food (one doesn't eat fish) so after a few minutes of combing through the menu we arrived at our choices and placed our order. The décor was very simple and the atmosphere wasn't the classic Japanese vibe. We had the shogayaki and the Sushi/sashimi boat for two. It was nicely presented and the flavours were very good.

This local Japanese restaurant is definitely worth a visit. While the layout is simple, the food is exceptional and reasonably priced. The menu offers a variety of good options, including fresh sushi, which is a true testament to the quality of this local establishment.

The food here is amazing! The Gyu Tataki and Sukiyaki are both outstanding dishes. This restaurant is one of the few places in the area that offers truly authentic Japanese cuisine. We will definitely be returning.

I have never had better Japanese food! I cannot praise this restaurant enough. The food is amazing, the service is exceptional, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

We had a recent dinner for two. The service was top notch, and the food delicious. Fresh, tasty and authentic. Simple decor, but we will definitely be back.
