Stopped by Tandoori Fairfax tonight to pick up dinner for my dad and me. I ordered the Palak Paneer, just one level below the spiciest, and it was fantastic—full of flavor with a perfect amount of heat. Dad tried the Tandoori chicken with medium spice, and he absolutely loved it; I don’t think he’s ever had Indian food before. It’s a great new spot close to home, and I’ll definitely be back. I had a chance to chat with Raphael, who I believe is the owner. He was very friendly and shared some exciting ideas for the restaurant. We ordered takeout earlier this week and loved the food. The chicken momos were new to us and very flavorful. We also enjoyed the butter chicken—though the chicken was a bit over-grilled, the sauce was fantastic—along with excellent Baingan Bharta and more. Today, we decided to try the lunch buffet. The selection wasn’t as extensive as some other local Indian spots, but everything was delicious and definitely worth the $8.99 price. We especially enjoyed the perfectly cooked butter chicken, veggie korma, yellow lentils, palak, and a grilled zucchini dish. Our server was attentive and promptly refilled our drinks, bringing us two baskets of fresh, hot naan. We’ll definitely be back!
Two people in our group had dairy allergies and one was a vegetarian. Our server made sure to confirm with the kitchen and returned with five safe main dish options. We were surprised to learn that they usually add milk to the rice, but the chef made a special milk-free batch just for us. We ordered four of the recommended dishes, all of which were delicious, along with roti for each of us. Thank you, Tandoori Nights, for accommodating our dietary needs!
Additionally, a woman—who I assume is the owner—came to ask if we had finished our food, possibly to ensure we were satisfied, but she didn’t inquire about our experience or offer any apologies for the situation. I believe this restaurant needs to improve its customer service. This was my eighth visit, but after today, I may reconsider returning.

The food at Tandoori Fairfax was excellent, and I highly recommend it. Their appetizer featuring Chana Masala served over samosas is a generous portion and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan were also flavorful and satisfying. Prices were reasonable. Although we ordered from the menu, they also offer a buffet option.
From that vast menu, it is amazing how they manage to make all the food taste phenomenal. Helpful and friendly staff. Very flexible with tweaking as per the customers' requirements. Decently priced. The MoMo they make is beautiful. They ace most Indian foods too. Perfect for larger and smaller groups alike. Go-to Nepali place in Fairfax.
The Tandoori restaurant and party venue is one of the top establishments in the DMV area. I recently booked this location for my daughter's weaning ceremony party and I have to say, my experience exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with mouth-watering dishes that looked and tasted amazing.
Ohhhh yum lunch buffet: the fluffiest naan; mixed veggies included cauliflower, snap peas, and okra; savory goat with potatoes. Will absolutely need to return to try my favorite palak (was not in rotation that day)! Interior is very bright and airy.

This is a lovely venue for hosting events. Shyam was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We had the bar area reserved, which was perfect for our Muslim guests. We celebrated our daughter's birthday here!
I came from Pittsburgh and never had food and service so good. I highly recommend this establishment!
