We normally get takeaway here and it was fine. Decided to dine in with overseas guests. Service was poor. Didn't have the first wine we ordered, was unable to suggest a suitable alternative. Asked what flavours were in a dish, waitress retired to the kitchen for advice to return with a box of spice mix as an answer. So much for freshly ground spices. One main dish was missed from our order. My son ordered something from the western menu only to be told "we don't do that". Asked what was available from the dozen or so items that included burgers, fish etc., the vegetable platter was the only thing. Our food came promptly and was fine. So, bottom line, OK for takeaway, eating is poor.
We skipped both Entree and Desserts and thoroughly enjoyed our main courses. We ordered Chicken Madras, plenty of meat and a deliciously spiced sauce. Lamb Rogan Josh, spicy, tender plenty of large pieces of meat. We tried the goat, we choose a dry currie, the goat was on the bone, the taste was very good, but a bit finicky with the bones. We chose the Dal as our 4th dish, another spicy and tasty lentil dish. Rice for 4 was more than enough. The cheese and garlic naan both light It was lovely to talk with our waiting staff who had actually lived in India. The cooks were also from India and Nepal. My first visit won't be my last
Cannot fault the food the best Indian we have had.The service was poor first waitress was rude and had poor communication then 3 items we had ordered were not available the first we were told about as soon as we ordered the second which was goat we were told nearly 1 hour after ordering then the third thing which was fish fingers for the kids 15mins after that. It took 1.5 hours for food to come and were not once asked if we wanted more drinks after initial order.They redeemed themselves slightly with free desert.
I was over in Adelaide last year and had the Lamb Korma and the Buttered Chicken as a take away. I tried to make my own but did not match that of the restaurant. The first thing we decided to do this year on our return to Stirling was to go and eat at the restaurant and must admit that it did not disappoint me. My husband and I had the Lamb Korma and my son had the Marsala Chicken, the chicken was slightly hotter than anticipated but he enjoyed it. Lovely staff, immaculate service and amazing food. We tend to go frequently and so far never been disappointed. We are a big fan of a waitress called Leela. She is one of the reason why this restaurant if our favorite Indian restaurant. Our 20 months old daughter is well looked after whenever we eat in.A very pleasant experience so far.
As locals, we had driven past on may an occasion always talking about dropping in for a meal.Great ambience and outstanding attentive service from the young waitress who took the time to explain the menu, sauces, spices etc. Food was very good. Enjoyable meal, we will return.
Usually have take away but on this occasion dined in.The quality has dropped and will not go back. Very disappointing, the meals took far too long, the quality was terrible. Then when we ordered a desert, they did not have what was on the menu. A wase of time and money.
A great restaurant for the locals to dine in and enjoy or for a take away when you've had a long working day. Great taste, great service, great value. The whole family will find something on the menu that they'll like to come back for. Go the Butter Chicken!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is our go to for good Indian takeaway in the hills. Tasty, hot, prompt and delicious every time. I can not recommend highly enough. Haven't eaten in yet, but the restaurant looks pleasant.
