Service subpar. No water offered proactively, we had to wait with empty glasses for a prolonged period of time without anyone bothering to ask us if we would like a refill. They offered an amuse bouche but again, people kept passing our table with the finished dishes and no-one had the idea of removing the dishes. The food took around 50min after ordering to arrive. Way too long in my opinion given that no one else ordered food (it's a fairly small place with just 8 small tables) at that time and they had, what I assume based on the size of the open kitchen space, a fully staffed kitchen. We enjoyed ramen soup, sushi, and a bowl in the living room of the Öschberghof. The open preparation area is impressive, and the sushi chef and his staff are very friendly. My request for an aburi shake nigiri wasn 't denied, even though it wasn 't on the menu. The sushi is perfectly crafted. However, the green stuff on the rolls and some of the nigiri bothered me a bit. It was a bit too much of a good thing. Less is more. The service unfortunately left a lot to be desired. We weren 't asked if we enjoyed our meal, and there was no explanation of what was on our plates. It was difficult to order a second drink even though there was no food. Those looking for a sushi experience won 't find it...
Der Abend im TanÖshi sollte aufgrund der Preise ein besonderes Erlebnis werden, doch leider konnten sowohl das Sushi als auch das Ambiente die Erwartungen überhaupt nicht erfüllen. In der Region gibt es Alternativen mit vergleichbarer Qualität, jedoch ohne den 5-Sterne-Aufschlag. Man sitzt in der Hotelbar und wird vom gleichen Servicepersonal betreut wie die Barbesucher, was insbesondere zu später Stunde zu langen Wartezeiten führt. Wenn man Pech hat, wird man im Flur gegenüber der Toiletten platziert, was jegliches Gefühl von Luxus sofort zunichte macht.
We both had the Chef 's Choice for €70 each, and mochi for dessert. The sushi and the entire meal were okay. Despite the high-quality ingredients, it wasn 't really anything special, and for the price, you can definitely get more at other sushi restaurants. It 's a real shame, really, because our visit cost almost €200. My conclusion is: for that money, you 'd be better off eating at a sushi restaurant in Konstanz, Singen, or the surrounding area.

Definitely the best sushi I've ever eaten. We had sushi with Wagyu beef and Oshi sushi with salmon, tuna and avocado. You can watch it being prepared and on some days you can order it as a starter in the restaurant or directly from Tanoshi. You definitely have to try it when you are there. The sushi master is very friendly and explains everything.
Ausgezeichnetes Sushi von hoher Qualität. Unser Kellner bot einen sehr guten Service. Obwohl ich weiß, dass es sich um ein Pop-up-Restaurant handelt, hatten wir eine wärmere Atmosphäre erwartet. Die fünf Tische, die das Restaurant ausmachten, standen an der Seite eines Wohnzimmers, was uns etwas unbehaglich wirken ließ.
Super tasty sushi. We really enjoy coming here. Fresh ingredients, prepared with love. Small menu just like you like with sushi. No unnecessary bells and whistles. Clear recommendation for sushi lovers! The ramen and rice bowl are also simply fantastic. Service is courteous and friendly.
Sehr leckeres und geschmackvolles Sushi! Ich habe die Platte für zwei Personen bestellt und sie war genau richtig. Die Auswahl und die Menge der Gerichte könnten jedoch größer sein. Der Sushi-Meister ist sehr professionell und äußerst freundlich. Die Preise sind angemessen.

Wir hatten das Chef-Menü, eines der besten Sushi-Erlebnisse, die wir je hatten. Der Service war sehr persönlich, meine Frau isst nur Thunfisch und Lachs, und Alessia war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie ging wunderbar auf die Wünsche meiner Frau ein.
