After going to the bridge and receiving very bad customer service and wondering off to find somewhere else we came across Tanya’s on arrival all tables were full however we were met with a warm welcome and told we could gladly wait for a table which we did. A table soon became free and we sat and was quickly served we ordered a ploughman’s an omlette and a jacket all meals came and looked lovely the homemade coleslaw was delicious and the ham on the ploughman’s was plenty and great. Lovely friendly staff and an amazing collection of cakes.
We called in for lunch whilst in Horncastle as it looked well-patronised. We managed to sit at the one vacant table and perused the menu. Despite it being lunchtime, we decided to treat ourselves with an afternoon tea. We had a choice of three fillings for the sandwiches and one portion of cake each, as well as scone, jam and clotted cream. It was served in traditional style on three levels of plates. Every element was delicious. And it was incredible value at £20.95 for two afternoon teas.
I stopped in for a cup of tea in the late morning and immediately felt welcomed. I returned for lunch and had the beef and fried onion baguette, which was absolutely fabulous. The restaurant seemed very popular as we got the last two baguettes. The staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. If you love cake, you must visit as all the cakes are hand-made and of high quality. The prices are very reasonable and offer excellent value for money. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We stopped here for lunch. We'd read reviews and heard it was good. I think the outside of the place belies how nice it is inside. It looked kind of old-fashioned on the outside but inside it looks modern and stylish. And the food was excellent and the tea and coffee. This has to be one of the nicest little cafe ‘s I have been to the food is always freshly cooked ham salads are the butchers ham not the plastic ham you get in most places.The cakes are all delicious freshly made so much to choose from.I love bringing the grandchildren here they love it. Thankyou
During our journey from Norwich to Bridlington, we stopped in Horncastle for lunch. This restaurant seemed to be quite popular as there were people willing to wait for a table. I enjoyed a delicious strong double shot Americano, tasty beans on toast, and a delightful piece of chocolate cake.
If you are coming to Horncastle then call into Tanya tea rooms it is a lovely clean cafe with home made cakes all delicious food, it is well presented and tasty the ham salad is local ham. They have a very good menu ideal for a breakfast all cooked very nice.

Stopped here twice this week on our first and last days in Horncastle. Superb service, fabulous tea and perfect scones. All super value for money. A credit to the town.
