It's awesome to enter an ethnic restaurant and find no one speaking English. I love t. Came here ravenously hungry and with at least an hour wait to pick up my better half at Logan. With major storms and tornadoes stretching from Portland to Richmond, waiting for airplanes landing in Boston was an exercise in frustration. So I was able to have a leisurely dinner and park just three minutes from the terminal in a real neighborhood and have great food. The menu is varied I mean, quite ample. A few of the plates are also made for two to four people. I settled for the crispy tacos which were absolutely delicious. Not spicy but well condimented. With plenty of Tapatio, Yucateque and Tabasco avail...
The food is good like most places. Now for the real: The wait takes forever, even though the restaurant was practically empty. I waited 45 mins for a burrito . The menu is also outdated yet the proceeded to charge us more as if it was ok. That's not ok and that's why this place is kind of scammy. The servers kept trying to up sell us drinks when we just wanted food. Around the corner, there are 10 better restaurants that will serve your food ASAP and don't make you wait or play games with your bill. Customer service is terrible. I asked several times to bring stuff like hot sauce and forks and I never got them.
Lots of good food here. The burritos and chimichangas are great, the nachos too. The tacos are fine. We were a little surprised to see fresh oysters on the menu but it is Boston after all and another reviewer said they were fresh when he ordered. Well we ordered and they were definitely not fresh. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said just said kind of ohhh... but no offer to comp. They could have just told us they didn 't have oysters to serve.
This restaurant is a good spot to grab a couple of beers and enjoy some tasty tacos. The breakfast menu is limited, but I couldn't resist trying the sopes - they were delicious. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming thanks to the waitresses. However, the lack of running water was a major disappointment. One word of advice - avoid ordering through Grub Hub. Their delivery service is unreliable and has led to long wait times and frustration for many customers. It's best to call the restaurant directly to inquire about delivery options. If they don't deliver, try using Uber Eats instead. If neither option works, it's best to pick up the food yourself to avoid any disappointment.
As a Mexican, this was the first time that I tried enchiladas while being in Boston and, I was amazed! They're slightly spicy, the texture is perfect, also the fried beans and rice are so good (a perfect combination). It's all a mixture of flavors and textures when you have a taste of the enchiladas with the rice and beans. Good service, nice staff and nice place.
100% recommended for authentic, nicely cooked, warm and cozy meal. Me and my husband came here late at night, they were packed, but they got us Seated. Staff is cooperative and friendly and listens to your needs. Really hope that others can get such delicious hearty meal like we did. Their tiramisu cake is a must try!
I ordered takeout and sadly I don't remember the name but I sure do remember the meal. It was steak, egg, sweet plantains, rice, chicharon, papusa, and a side of salad. The chicken quesadilla and guacamole at this restaurant are excellent. I am currently searching for the best quesadillas and tacos in East Boston, and this place is definitely a strong contender.
