I usually brag about the food at this establishment. On Monday, September 2, 2024, we made our usual stop here. My tacos (flour tortillas) we're so soggy they crumbled as I began to pick them up to eat. .This batch was off! The.quality was not good. Not only that, as.we.traveled back to Quincy FL, we noticed a part of our meal was missing and we had to turn back and get it. They were nice enough to replace the burrito. No more 2.5 hour drive just to visit this place, we're only stopping when we're headed West.
Get the Taco Supreme and Quesadilla! Best meat is the El Pastor, but all the other meats are great too. GET THE RED and GREEN SAUCES plus the fresh pico de gallo!!!!! The sauces and fresh salsa make this place great. The Burrito is average. It's set up as a few food trucks and smokers that do not move from where they sit behind a shell gas station.
To me this is how Mexican food should be done. Outside under the lights and nothing American about this food just good quality Mexican traditional food

I guess it's 5 stars or top 50 if you don't have much experience eating tacos They wouldn't be in the top 50 in Chicago alone let alone the country.
This place is easily my favorite taco spot in town! If you're looking for quick and amazing food Taqueria El Asador is, by far, the place to be.
