The carne asada is flavorful, though a bit on the dry side, and the al pastor was excellent—perhaps a bit more acidity could enhance its flavor. The maistortillas offer a unique taste that I personally enjoyed, although some in my group did not share the same sentiment. Our family's favorite taco place in the area- and we've been to many! The tacos are made with homemade tortillas that you can watch the kitchen make, and you can tell the fillings are made with good quality and fresh ingredients. The meats are always well marinated and flavorful. Our favorite is the Al pastor and carnitas tacos but everything that we've tried has been great. We also love their salsa bar! It's the only place where we've been able to find salsa macha (a delicious chile oil salsa we first had in cabo) at a casual restaurant in OC. I love Irvine, but the glaring lack of Mexican dining options is hard to ignore. After seeing fantastic reviews for this restaurant, I decided to visit on a Saturday night. The atmosphere felt a bit chaotic, with tables not being attended to or cleaned. The prices were reasonable, and the service was acceptable. I ordered three different tacos: the Carne Asada and Al Pastor were definitely the highlights, while the Carnitas were just fine. A unique touch was the glass cabinet where you could help yourself to some inexpensive Mexican candy (of course, I bought some). It seems like Taquiero Taco Patio is truly committed to their temporary closure! It's been a whole month, and they’re still shut down—talk about dedication! At least they're consistent; their second location has closed for good, and now this one is also off the grid. They’ve certainly mastered the art of being temporarily closed. While Taquiero Taco Patio may not be open right now, their legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of taco enthusiasts. Who knows? They might make a comeback even stronger than before. For now, I’ll have to seek out my taco fix elsewhere.

These tacos are fantastic!! My family and I ordered steak, pastor and chicken. The pastor tacos were fire!! Great taste, taste and spice was at point. The kickers were the handmade tortillas! Steak Tacos were also great. Meat was tender and juicy!! Horchata and Jamaica water were so good!! Very recommended!! A bit expensive, but WELL WORTH it! Great ambience, clean and first class service!! Can't go wrong with Taquiero Taco Patio
I have been obsessed with the al pastor tacos here ever since they first opened!! I tried the nachos for the first time recently and they did not disappoint! The salsa bar always has so many options but the nachos were so stacked already I didn't even need to add any additional flavor. The portion of nachos was huge, I would definitely split it between two people next time!
pleasantly surprised by the tacos here! they were on the pricier end but that was expected for an establishment in this plaza. I found both my carne asada and al pastor tacos to be flavorful, juicy, and filling. if I'm too lazy to make the drive to taco establishments in other parts of OC, I would be happy to stop by here for my taco fix.
very solid fast casual mexican food spot. Super nice staff and very clean seating area. Simple process .. Order at the counter and your food is brought to you. I ordered tacos and they were awesome my coworkers had the quesadilla and a burrito. All were good sized with lots of meat and great flavor. Will definitely return

Service was great, but my carnitas burrito was crying for some flavor. Tasted like absolutely no salt was used. I figured id add thier salsa, which should add some flavor, but no. No salt either in the salsa. Burrito was filling, moist and should have been excellent, but fell short due to no seasoning at all. Bland!
