We had such a wonderful dinner at Tarasque Cucina to celebrate my daughter’s 11th birthday. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff made us feel right at home. The butter noodles were absolutely delicious, rich, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. We also loved the spaghetti and the shrimp Alfredo. Both were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I have no idea what all the positive reviews are about. I never review anything but I went with my entire family and everything we ordered was absolutely terrible. I had heard amazing things about their garlic bread and so of course that was our appetizer. I would make a joke along the lines of more like garlic brick but there was no garlic or butter to be found. No flavor at all except a bunch of grated parmesan over the top. We had our wedding dinner at Tarasque at the end of May, it was 26 people and it was amazing, as always. I cannot express enough how wonderful every one was and how grateful we are for their service. The only thing my husband and I wanted out of our wedding was a quick ceremony and food from Tarasque. I literally planned our wedding around the students being gone and Tarasque being available. Tarasque Cucina is fantastic for both dining in and takeout. I particularly love their patio dining area when the weather is pleasant. The service is outstanding; the staff makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive. The food is truly remarkable. I highly recommend the butterbean hummus, charred radicchio, and Capellini Puttanesca (especially if you enjoy capers and olives), as well as their mint tea. The food here is delicious! Everyone in my family enjoyed it except my 8-year old, but he is really particular about his food. We will be back again as the food is delicious and the portions are huge. They offer family style for take-out only, so I cansee us taking advantage of that in the future. A must try if you have never been here.
Tarasque is my favorite restaurant in Oxford. The food is outstanding and the waitstaff are very kind. The owner seems to know all the regulars and as a result it creates a Cheers like effect where everyone knows your name. While you can 't go wrong with any entre, I highly recommend splurging on the butterbean hummus as an appetizer.
We love this place! The food is unique and absolutely tasty, the people are very friendly, and the service is fast (maybe partly due to the type of the food, but no delays even when it's fully packed). Go grab some wine at the liquor store next door, and if you run out, go pick up some more!
What a fantastic spot! Don’t let the lower prices fool you—this place serves food that rivals the best restaurants in town. They don’t offer alcohol, but you can bring your own, with a liquor store conveniently located right in front of the restaurant.
