This little bistro is a wonderful place for a nice fresh lunch. My husband and I usually share an item & it is always good & the staff are GREAT. It is small & popular so there may not be a lot of space if you just show up. The menu is small, but everything is made fresh, and you can always find something that will suit your fancy. The daily specials are also good, and if you get there a little late, chances are the special is sold out. A must try for everyone. We are locals, so this is good for us, but probably not so much in the summer when the tourists find out about it.
Had the philly beef dip, chicken salad croissant, salad, loaded baked potato soup and Mt. Arrowsmith Pale Ale today - can you say YUM YUM YUM! Place packed as usual but the service is always top notch. Really admire how those girls can be slammed and stay so calm and look so relaxed and never miss a beat.Thank you for dealing with the birthday cake for my aunt. She actually got all teary over something so simple. She felt very special in your beautiful little eatery today. Thank you!
We ate here a few times during our stay at Oceanside Village Resort and loved the food, the service, and the cozy interior of the restaurant. Our server for our first visit (Janine) was AMAZING!! The turkey, Brie and cranberry panini was delicious but really needs more cranberry sauce, it was hard to even taste the cranberries. The Guinness chocolate cake and cheesecake were some of the best desserts I've ever had. I'll be dreaming about that chocolate cake for the rest of my life.
We visited every morning of our stay this past week to start our day with delicious lattes, sharing a breakfast sandwich and yogurt/berry/granola cup. The staff member we saw each morning was very pleasant. The back patio was our favorite spot looking out at the beach enjoying our breakfast. The inside was very eclectic and interesting. This Bistro is open morning, for lunch and afternoons -- not for dinner. It is a modern, cosy bistro with modest menu and daily specials. Clean, friendly -- it makes a good lunch stop.
Great coffee or lunch place. Very good service, and the food is well presented and tasteful. I think this is the second Taste in and around the Parksville, BC area.
Pretty good little place near our resort in Parksville. I had the butter chicken and it was good. The $4 highballs were awesome as well as our server Lana.
