On arrival the quirky small restaurant inside a shop that sells staples like rice and curry powder, along with indoor tiled roof over the kitchen was interesting but don't let that fool you. The food at this place is amazing! Usually I don't leave reviews but there is a reason we were the only Australians in there. Obviously the restaurant is a huge hit with people from this culture and that's always a good sign when the locals keep the tables full! Chefs special Dosa was awesome, huge portion and tasted amazing. We also had the goat curry to share and although it only had 3 pieces of meat was tasty. Only really serves one. We came in for dinner and honestly loved the place the presentation was beautiful and the taste was immaculate, the sambar was perfect and the menu has a wide variety to it. The owner was so kind and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
The food was amazing but after we were told it would ready in 40 min, we arrived and had to wait for another 20 min. Also dine in took over an hour and each meal came out 20 min apart. Really disappointed that there was no apology and no warning.

The best ever south indian cuisine, anyone live near Preston or Epping this is an excellent deal. Highly recommended the filter coffee, chicken briyani and uttapam. It was so delicious
My experience was really very good at Taste of Chennai. We ordered many different varieties to taste, everything was very delicious. Highly recommended place to have south indian food.
