We had a reservation this afternoon and we were seated promptly.We ordered white sangria (very nice , clams in garlic sauce, and shrimp in garlic sauce for our appetizers. The clams were delivered piping hot and delicious. When the shrimp arrived, the digestive tract veins had not been properly cleaned. Very unappetizing. We asked for a different appetizer and received stuffed mushrooms that were very tasty.We were expecting a salad, but were told salad was not included. During our trip back from New York City, we stopped for lunch at Taste of Portugal in Newark. The food was good—I had skirt steak—but the service was a bit slow, which I suspect was due to the time we arrived, around 2:00 PM. Overall, the food is definitely worth trying, and the atmosphere is pleasant for a local eatery. The prices are reasonable, totaling $150 for five people. There's a nice selection on the menu as well. While the experience was good, it wasn't exceptional, but I would recommend giving it a try.
The food at this restaurant was incredible. I ordered the filet on a stone, which allowed me to cook my steak just the way I like it and enjoy it right off the heat. The dessert was delightful, and the sangria was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place! Food: 5/5
The Rice with Duck had a small amount of duck initially, but when we requested more, they happily provided it. It was really tasty! Additionally, the bacalao special of the day was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Food: 5/5.

Best restaurant in Newark, NJ. Had the Sea Bass which was unbelievable. service was 5 Star. Other Couple had Seafood Combo served with Linguini. Prices are very reasonable ambiance of restaurant was awesome. Totally recommend this Restaurant!!!!
Friendly neighborhood place. We tried Portuguese specialties. Food was tasty. The place looks like typical European mom and pop restaurant. You could see patrons were locals frequenting there.Food: 5/5
Great Portuguese food. Service is also great. The establishment is clean. Variety of wine available. They have Saturday specials on the menu.
