Taste of the Bahamas is one of my top dining spots in Rochester. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the vibrant Bahamian atmosphere reminiscent of the islands. It's a family-run establishment, and the owners make an effort to personally welcome every guest. The food is delicious and filling. I've tried their seafood trio, lobster, red snapper, oxtails, wings, jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry goat, and pepper steak. Every dish has been fantastic, bursting with authentic Caribbean flavors.
When we arrived, we found the door was locked. However, staff came to the door and informed us that they wouldn't open for another half hour. They kindly allowed us to place an order after explaining the menu to us. The seafood trio was delicious. Gotti, the owner, was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with.
First time ordering. Placed an online order on Sunday at 2:50 pm (there supposed to be open from 1-9pm) got to the restaurant and it was closed. My card was charged and now I’ll prob have to go through hell just to get my money back from this business. Black businesses do better!
Wonderful food, had the chicken wings and Mac salad. My wife had the ribs and rice and Mac salad.. we had to much food and bought 1/2 home for tomorrow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back and have the ribs.

Moved to Rochester from Jersey and this has been my one stop every since..food, drinks, and laughter… family owned business and place that make you feel welcomed! Food is delicious…I would definitely Recommend
I give this restaurant 5 stars! The staff is professional, and they play reggae music on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s a fantastic spot in my beach neighborhood in Charlotte.
I love these people they definitely know how to have a good time They made sure I made it home safe I love the owner she has a heart of Gold the bartenders are amazing
Gotti the food and hospitality was awesome. Sarafina is one of a kind I love her personality is fabulous.
