'Tasty ' is exactly what we 've found here. This is no frills dining, but the food is great. Friendly wait staff, efficient service, and short wait time to get your food. This place is just opposite Forest Hill Chase shopping centre, near the pedestrian crossing. This is my weekly go-to restaurant. Every Thursday is known as 'Tasty House Day ' in my household.<br/ Their roast duck is top quality and one of the best at $16.00 for half a duck, good value for money and our favourite. And the Chef 's Specials noodle soups are great too. <br/ <br/ Food comes quick and well presented. The taste is very similar to typical Cantonese cuisine with a mainland Chinese touch. Noticed there were lots of people in the restaurant when we drove past one day. So decided to go there for a late lunch with family. Ordered roast duck on rice, roast pork with tofu on rice and fish head noodle soup. All portions were generous in quantity and very tasty . Roast duck skin was crispy and the meat was tender and flavoursome. Fish head noodles was average and plain in flavour, but could be a sign of less MSG used than other places. Roast pork and tofu rice was very tasty and has a nice balance of sauce, veggies and meat. All of us left with a very full and satisfied tummy.
Local Chinese Food at Reasonable prices. Visited for the first time on a Saturday night and it was quite busy (always a good sign). Ordered the Roast Duck special, mapo tofu entree serving of the spicy chicken ribs. All dishes were tasty and reasonably priced. This authentic Chinese restaurant seems to focus on roast meats. It was bustling during lunchtime on a Sunday, with many families enjoying meals together. I ordered sweet and sour pork with rice, and it was absolutely delicious! It was freshly prepared, and I only had to wait about five minutes. I'm excited to return and sample more dishes from their extensive menu!
I absolutely love this restaurant! It always has a vibrant atmosphere. The food is consistently fresh, hot, and incredibly delicious. There's nothing fancy about it, but the prices are excellent for the quality of the food.
Went there yesterday as I walked past and saw it was packed and super buys. The portion sizes are quite generous and the food was bought out quickly. I can tell they use a lot less MSG as alot of other Asian restaurants .
