Newbie here- first time ever having hot pot of any kind/style. Not sure why havent tried sooner. Love concept of eating foods while piping hot. Ordered Taiwanese Supreme Spicy with side of udon at flaming spicy level. Broth seemed pretty spicy first few sips but oddly mellowed out while eating. Big fan of thin beef slices and sour mustard/veggies, not so much of seafood cuts (disclaimer: will eat but not seafood fan). Hotpot portion enough for two people. Didnt finish it all and still left pretty full. Service was good but felt prices were slightly high. May not go out of my way but def dont mind returning if in area..
Had the #9 Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot. That was honestly the best choice of my life and super tasty! If you are a person who generally cannot take spices, I do not recommend this dish. But if you love mildly to season, this is the perfect dish for you! It was my first time to get this and no regret at all! One thing I do not recommend to get is the Miso hot pot. I've visited this my first time ever tasty pot and it really has removed me from the food here for the longest time. Years and years later, I decided to eat here again, the #9 is what will hold me back:
I came in with my girl around closing like thirty minutes before and they were able to get us situated and seated real quick. Our server, Dan, was very kind and served us quick and efficiently and the food was amazing per usual. Definitely my favorite hot pot place downtown. Also, as I was putting my food in a to go container, Dan was very kind and helped me put it in the container. A gesture that I’ve never gotten anywhere else and I highly appreciated it, thank you for the amazing service!
Such a fun and warm experience! The food was great. My friend got the Taiwanese pot and it was my favorite! I would highly suggest getting rice over noodles due to the portion difference as shown in the photo. I took one star off because the dumplings in the soup tasted sour. I love the spicy Sichuan taste hotpot. If you have read my review of another place and its hotpot. This one hits the hands. I wish I could have more than 5 stars. Service is fast. The food came out quickly. Food came hot and hot. The taste is just so good. Authentic spices. I ate halfway before I remeber to grab a photo
Tasty Pot is a hidden gem in the heart of U of M Campus. So what do you get if you want to try and enjoy tasty pot for the first time, I would say just hold it and order the beef or lamb pots. These are always a safe choice. 1 2. Do not forget to get the iced tea!
This place is so delicious. The first time with hot pot and was told that this was the best place on campus. I also love how to make the dishes sharp. Many Minnesota restaurants are basically when they say they will make it sharp.

They serve authentic Taiwanese stinky tofu pot. Other hot pots are great too if you’re afraid of the smell of stinky tofu. Definitely should try this one out when you’re in the twin cities.
