this was our first time at this restaurant and we could not have been more pleased. the food was fabulous and our waitress was the best waitress we ever had (and we go out to eat a lot) I ordered the fish stew and it listed it as spicy, however after I got it I found it more spicy than I could tolerate, our waitress immediately offered to take it back and redo the order to a milder option. and she did this with a smile. Also it was my grandsons birthday and she brought him a dessert with happy birthday written on the plate and this was on a busy Saturday night. we will definitely return.
The place was really crowded. It was Valentine's Day so that wasn't surprising. But they clearly crammed as many extra tables in as they could. Everything felt cramped and claustrophobic, and everyone was practically on top of each other. Our server was great but clearly spread thin with all of the tables. The food was decent, but for what we paid, I would have expected far better. If you're looking to spend a chunk of money on a great dining experience, I'd go elsewhere.
I really like Tavolinos...the food is always spot on and I have always great experiences with waitstaff. The big downside for me is that they keep raising the prices of their wine by the glass. $15 for a glass of wine is complete gouging and it is going to keep me from frequenting Tavolinos as I have in the past. When a bottle of wine is $20 in the store (which Tavolinos I am sure gets for a lot less) and you get charged $15 for a glass, that is gouging....
We enjoyed our first trip to Tavolino. We loved how they offered half orders on entrees and salads. The service was good, but not in your face and we didn't feel hurried at all. The food was great right from the start with bread and dipping sauce. The bread was very good and the dipping sauce was lighter than the usual seasoned oil with great flavor. Tavolino is always delicious. I love that they have a selection of mocktails. We had the meatball app that was amazing and my seafood cioppino was flavorful with tons of seafood in it.
Parties of 7 are generally hard to please; however, Tavalinos succeeded on all levels. Great place to gather you and your friends for a good meal; drinks and conversation
First time here and it was great. Food was amazing and waitstaff very attentive
