Stopped at Taza during a trip out of town a few weeks back. The woman at the counter was warm and helpful. Not much seating, seems like carryout is the standard, but she was welcoming when we asked to sit and look at the menu. My partner and I shared a chicken shawarma platter and Taza fries with leftovers for the next day. The shawarma was delicious, pita was great, loved every bite. I was curious and tried the Taza fries, which were perfectly cooked diner style fries, crispy chicken, turkey bacon, cheese, and lots of sauce. Now I’m sad that we don’t live closer. I discovered this restaurant thanks to a TikTok video my husband sent me. When I arrived, the husband and wife owners greeted me warmly and asked for 20 minutes to prepare my order. I waited in my car and they brought the food out to me. We ordered beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches, Taza fries, and chicken tenders, and everything was incredibly delicious. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely return. The food was well-seasoned and made with fresh meats.
The combination plate was well-executed, featuring fattoush, hummus, and baba ghanouj. The portion size was satisfactory. While it wasn't the best I've ever had, it certainly wasn't the worst. The interior of this small restaurant was a bit unexpected. I was anticipating a menu board, but instead, I found a menu where most prices were worn off. The elderly man working behind the counter was friendly. Overall, my impression is that this is a small, family-owned restaurant that is doing their best in a challenging economy.
Ordering online was a breeze. This place is amazing! After seeing it on Instagram and reading the reviews, I had to give it a try. I opted for the Crispy Burger and it was absolutely delicious. This is my go to place in Southfield! The food is always great, prepared with care, and I really like the family who runs this place. Recently, they've been adding some new menu items and my wife has no problem with me bringing home a sample or two! lol
Honestly this place is 100% my go to in Southfield! I eat there every week, and their new menu is really good. The taza fries are a 10/10 in my book!! Definitely recommend their shawarma as well, most delicious shawarma sandwich.
Very Nice customer service. Clean and friendly establishment. Pay them a visit. I had a (Chicken Shawarma and Cajun Fries) that was DELICIOUS! I apologize for not taking a photo..next time, because I'm definitely going back.
